Cornerstone Baptist Church is an independent Baptist Church, making its own decisions about staffing, worship, ministry, outreach, and the programs it offers and supports. We are also a Bible believing KJV old buld smchurch, and believe that the KJV is the preserved and inspired Word of God. Our beliefs and

lives are governed by it and we preach and teach only from it's pages.

Cornerstone was started in the spring of 1997 by Pastor Woodrow Medlock of Murfreesboro Tn. The first meeting took place in the conference room of the Best Western motel in Shelbyville. Since those humble beginnings God has led our Church to our current location on Highway 41A. Through the years God has faithfully supplied the needs of this congregation and under the leadership of Pastor Stephen Reeves and support from many ministries and Christian friends we were able to pay off our property and complete a new building in the spring of 2011. Looking back the best way to describe our journey would be to simply say "Gods been good"!
